El Encuentro Internacional de Folklore "Ciudad de Zaragoza" comes to its 31th edition with the aim of projecting to the world a more vivid image than ever of our city, a colored image of intense tones of peace, tolerance and hospitality.
Zaragoza is the city of the four cultures, and for this reason, it is the ideal place to organize the Encuentro Internacional de Folklore" (EIFOLK).
During the first days of September the city hosts a meeting of music, singing and dancing from different parts of the world, making Zaragoza the world capital of Folklore in its greatest splendor.

The thirty editions of the Encuentro Internacional de Folklore (EIFOLK) have served to consolidate this event as one of the events of greater human and artistic quality within the international folkloric panorama and to place Zaragoza among the obligatory reference points in the world geography of traditional arts. Demonstrating that for their history, prestige and the artistic quality of the Meeting have been recognized with the title of CIOFF MUNDIAL recognizing it as one of the best festivals in the world in its specialty.
This year we are celebrating the 32th edition of EIFOLK, 37 years having passed since it was organized for the first time jointly with the Zaragoza City Council and the Raíces de Aragón group.
Sponsored by UNESCO, which distinguished our city with the title of "emblematic site of the culture of peace, the International Folklore Meeting "City of Zaragoza" brings together this year 10 groups from ARGENTINA, BOLIVIA, CHINA, ECUADOR, SOUTH AFRICA AND SPAIN: Cantabria, Castile and Leon, Valencian Community and Aragon. All of them will perform full of joy, life and color from August 29 to September 3.
The performances will be held in the incomparable setting of the Mozart Hall of the Auditorium being varied, colorful, cheerful and always different, making the spectators feel satisfied and culminate on the 4th with the closing of the Meeting in the Mozart Room of the Auditorium, with the performance of: ARGENTINA, BOLIVIA, CHINA, ECUADOR, SOUTH AFRICA AND SPAIN: "Raíces de Aragón".
